Yogassage is a body therapy that originates in India and combines yoga positions as well as massage techniques.###
There are two general types of yogassage:
The first type is more relaxing and requires less involvement, as the patient lies down on a massage table, while the therapist applies hands, feet, knees, elbows, fingers, thumbs, and forearms to massage the body into a yoga-like relaxation.
The other type of yogassage requires the patient’s full involvement. With the assistance of the therapist, the patient follows different yoga asana positions, including stretching of the torso and limbs. Afterwards the patient is massaged with the normal yogassage method. A complete session usually takes 75 minutes and has a chiropractic effect.
