The menopausal transition is a unique journey for each individual. During this phase, which can be a time of personal growth and self-discovery, women may experience symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, changes in sleep patterns, and emotional changes.

It’s important to realize that you’re not alone in this journey, and there are resources available to support you through this transition with grace and resilience. With “Navigating the Menopausal Transition” Rancho La Puerta offers a comprehensive four-part series focusing on strategies to thrive during perimenopause and postmenopause, with two sessions dedicated to each stage. The goal is to improve well-being, reduce discomfort, and approach this life stage with a positive mindset, reinforcing your inner strength, capabilities, and worthiness of support.

  • Perimenopause Symptoms and Management Part 1– the heat, the weight, the skin and the sleep
  • Perimenopause Symptoms and Management Part 2– pesky periods, mood changes and sexual health
  • Postmenopausal Symptoms and Management Part 1– the heat, the skin, the sleep
  • Postmenopausal Symptoms and Management Part 2– breast, bone and sexual health

The series will be lead by Amanda P. Williams. She is a board-certified OB-GYN and strategic physician leader specializing in virtual women’s health care and eliminating health disparities. At Stanford University’s California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative, she oversees clinical innovations and serves as adjunct faculty. She also advises various digital women’s health initiatives and is based in Kaiser Permanente, Northern California.

Navigating the Menopausal Transition – inclusions
  • Three meals a day plus snacks and beverages. Cuisine is lacto-ovo-vegetarian.
  • 40+ daily activities such as hiking, yoga, trail running, arts & crafts, dance, HIIT workouts, and inner journey classes.
  • Use of the fitness and spa facilities including 11 gyms, four outdoor pools, a running track, a Labyrinth, a reflexology path, tennis courts, steam rooms, saunas, and more.
  • Scheduled transportation on Saturdays to and from the San Diego International Airport at set times.
