Overview

Along the northern Red Sea, the shores of Al Wajh hold a healing heritage older than any resort. For generations, knowledge here was gathered from the land after rainfall and passed down through practice rather than text, carried in the rhythms of regional hospitality. Jayasom AMAALA takes its philosophy from that inheritance. It holds that healing is not acquired but remembered, that the body already knows its way back to balance. Set where the desert edge meets the Red Sea, the place keeps the stillness its philosophy depends on.

Healing Focus

Jayasom AMAALA was built on a single conviction: that healing is not something you acquire but something you return to. Its approach draws on three distinct bodies of knowledge, held in deliberate balance: evidence-based Western medicine, the ancient precision of Ayurveda and Thai therapies, and Traditional Arabic and Islamic Medicine, which roots the retreat in the healing heritage of the region itself. This last lineage is not decorative. It is kept alive by a resident traditional healer, so that knowledge gathered from the land continues to be practised rather than archived.

The healing journey begins before arrival. A dedicated Wellness Advisor shapes each programme in advance and refines it as the days unfold, drawing on six core pillars: holistic health, spa therapies, aesthetics, fitness, nutrition, and mind-body wellbeing. None of it is generic. Every consultation and every modality points the same way, toward return: to clarity, to the body’s own intelligence, to a version of yourself that feels genuinely well. The setting carries part of the treatment. At Triple Bay, where the Red Sea meets white sand and untouched coral, the stillness is part of the work.

Guests arrive for different reasons: to recover, to reset, to be still, to lead better. What stays with them afterward is practical — the tools, the practices, and a sense of direction they take home.

„A Healing retreat on the Red Sea where personalised integrative care, Traditional Arabic and global healing therapies, and nutrition-led cuisine are thoughtfully brought together.“

Hotel

The resort sits at AMAALA Triple Bay, where the Red Sea meets white sand, mountain ridgeline, and some of the most untouched coral reefs on the planet. The architecture, led by London-based practice Health & Co, was built with one guiding principle: restraint. Locally sourced materials, earth tones, natural textures — the LEED-certified buildings sit quietly within the landscape rather than competing with it. The result feels exactly as it should: serene, luxurious, and entirely at home.

The accommodation is designed to be lived in. Every room has a private pool, a terrace, a freestanding bath, a rain shower, and a fire pit for evenings when open sky is all you need. The resort holds two distinct sanctuaries, each with its own entrance and its own character. JAYANA is adults resort — quieter, more inward, built around the kind of stillness that genuine rest requires. JAYELA is the family resort, where wellness extends across every generation and time together is the whole point.

Beyond the rooms, the resort has gathered a collection of outdoor spaces that feel less like hotel amenities and more like places worth finding. Gardens designed for the senses, trails built for mindful movement, working land that feeds the kitchens, and corners of the property where sustainability becomes something you can actually experience, each one an invitation to spend time differently. Inside, there’s just as much to discover: cooking studios, sound exploration, immersive wellness experiences, live performance, and pools designed for every kind of restoration.

Eight dining venues bring local Saudi flavour and international cuisine together, always with health in mind but never at the expense of a good meal. A One-Touch Wellness Concierge handles the rest, weaving therapy, dining, and leisure into an itinerary that feels effortless.
