HEALING HOTELS RECEIVES AWARD FOR ‘EXTRAORDINARY ACHIEVEMENT’ FROM GANDHI GLOBAL FAMILY

November 2019

Elisabeth Ixmeier and Anne Biging are first German recipients of award

Anne Biging and Elisabeth Ixmeier, Co-Founders of Healing Hotels of the World, have received the prestigious Souvenir for Extraordinary Achievement from the Gandhi Global Family (GGF).

GGF is a United Nations-accredited peace NGO, which propagates the ideologies of Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela among youth. The award is given to individuals or companies who are bringing change to society through innovative ideas. (...)

The award was presented to Biging and Ixmeier by Akhilesh Spolia, who has been involved with the GGF since he was eight years old. “It is not possible to put in words the honor I felt in bestowing this award on Anne and Elisabeth,” he said. “It is a privilege to present this sacred souvenir.”

Biging and Ixmeier were given an autobiography of Mahatma Gandhi, a tricolor scarf, statue of Gandhi, key handle with Gandhi photo and pen drive on Gandhi’s life with photos.

“One of our main aims with Healing Hotels is to help drive profound changes for our guests, so receiving this award is incredibly meaningful,” said Ixmeier. “We are beyond honored to be recognized by the Gandhi Global Family.”

In 2006, Biging and Ixmeier co-founded the Healing Hotels of the World, a member-based global brand uniting over 100 of the best healing hotels and resorts around the world under one umbrella. In 2014, Biging and Ixmeier created the Healing Summit, a unique conference that serves as a platform for professionals striving for a holistic approach to life and business, with the aim to create a global community of influencers who are committed to doing good.

“What an honor to be the first German recipient of the prestigious Gandhi Global Family Award for extraordinary achievement and performance,” said Biging. “With India being the birthplace of the global hospitality brand Healing Hotels of the World, a full circle is completed.”

LEADING SWISS MEDICAL RESORT JOINS HEALING HOTELS OF THE WORLD

Swiss Mountain Clinic offers a wide range of doctors, specialists and visiting practitioners focusing on holistic health

Cologne, Germany, August 9, 2019 — The newest member of the Healing Hotels of the World is the Swiss Mountain Clinic, an international center for regulative and functional medicine located in the Alpine village of Castaneda in Switzerland. With a focus on holistic health, the Swiss Mountain Clinic has more than 30 years of experience in functional medicine, and offers several intensive packages designed to prevent disease as well as to regulate and detoxify the body. (...)

“We are so pleased to join Healing Hotels of the World, which perfectly encompasses our core competencies,” says Dr. Petra Wiechel, Chief Physician at Swiss Mountain Clinic. “Healing our guests is at the core of everything we do, from special one-week liver cleanse programs to a customized 21-day program.

The Swiss Mountain Clinic not only offers programs on prevention, but also to address specific conditions, including autoimmune diseases, metabolic disorders and cancer. Working alongside Dr. Petra Wiechel is her daughter, Dr. Friderike Wiechel, as well as a host of specialists and visiting practitioners. The clinic offers help for those with illnesses ranging from lyme disease to fibromyalgia, heavy metal poisoning, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, burnout and even cancer.

“We call ourselves a health clinic because we don’t stop with the topic of illness,” says Dr. Friderike Wiechel. “Every person is different and it is our goal to understand the root cause of everyone’s condition. With our variety of diagnostics, treatments and therapies, we aim to bring the body back into balance because a healthy body can heal itself.”

Visiting practitioners and experts regularly collaborate with the Swiss Mountain Clinic, including Robyn Openshaw, nutritionist and author of ‘The Green Smoothie Diet’; Ben Greenfield, an ex-bodybuilder, Ironman triathlete, obstacle course racer, human performance consultant, and author of the New York Times bestseller ‘Beyond Training’; Magdalena Wszelaki, a health coach specializing in cooking and lifestyle for hormone health, and the founder of the popular Hormones Balance online community; Dr. Ken West, who specializes in integrating the mind, body and spiritual connection, and has addressed challenges in sports performance, A.D.D., A.D.H.D, and learning disabilities; and Dr. Thomas O’Bryan, a bestselling author specialized in recovering from autoimmune conditions and known as a “Sherlock Holmes” for chronic disease.

In addition, the Alpine location provides the perfect atmosphere to rest and recharge, providing an organic and gluten-free diet, an EMF-reduced environment, and pure mountain spring water.

“The Swiss Mountain Clinic is a very special place,” says Anne Biging, Co-Founder of the Healing Hotels of the World. “They offer comprehensive diagnostics, but importantly, they also see each person individually, and look at their health as a complete system. The peaceful mountain setting is also key to the clinic’s healing, as are the many offerings beyond the medical treatments.”

Guests are offered free lectures by physicians and therapists, morning meditation, afternoon exercise classes, and gala concerts on Fridays. The clinic has more than 25 spacious, modern double rooms, all facing south and with a covered balcony or patio.

“We hear that many guests who come to the Swiss Mountain Clinic are what they call ‘out-treated’ – they’ve tried everything from the perspective of classical medicine, and are looking for answers on their own journey,” says Elisabeth Ixmeier, Co-Founder of Healing Hotels of the World. “We love that the clinic is a place of hope and a place for learning about the body and mind holistically.”

AYUS WELLNESS AT MULU MARRIOTT BECOMES FIRST HEALING HOTEL IN MALAYSIA

July 2019

New program includes forest immersion, wild swimming, and rainforest yoga

Cologne, Germany, July 23, 2019 – With an innovative new program that harnesses the healing power of the natural world, Ayus Wellness at Mulu Marriott Resort & Spa has become the first hotel in Malaysia to join the Healing Hotels of the World.

 (...)

Located in Mulu National Park, the hotel was originally opened in 1993 as the Royal Mulu Resort, and rebranded under the Marriott name in 2013. Ayus Wellness is a new program created by Dr Gerry Bodeker, an academic at both the University of Oxford and Columbia University in New York. Dr Bodeker is a long-time proponent of the importance of mental wellness and has teamed up with Robert Geneid, one of the owners of Mulu Marriott, to bring a new level of healing programming to the resort.

The 52,000 hectares of ancient primary rainforest surrounding the resort serve as the canvas for Ayus Wellness, which has crafted personalized, science-based programs that are effective in enhancing mood and mind. The extraordinary natural environment of Mulu allows Ayus Wellness to employ the novel approach of using nature as one of its primary tools of therapy, through forest immersion and other experiences in the rainforest, including yoga, meditation, silent canopy walks, and swimming in the bracing, mineralized waters of Clearwater Pool, which are filtered through 60-million-year-old limestone caves.

“Having experienced Ayus Wellness first-hand, I can say that the power of the pristine natural landscape is extraordinary,” says Anne Biging, Co-Founder of Healing Hotels of the World. “From swimming in the natural forest pools to dining on incredible local vegetarian fare, to sharing in the culture of the indigenous people – the whole experience at Ayus Wellness is a beautiful, healing journey.”

Ayus takes its name from the Sanskrit, meaning the sense of life, from its most microscopic cellular level to its simultaneous vastness, including the movement of galaxies and universes.

Borneo food traditions, local Sarawakian ingredients and flavors, and even wild-crafted foods from the grounds of the resort itself have been used to craft a unique wellness cuisine for Ayus Wellness. The gourmet vegetarian menu includes a unique power shot made from gotu kolu (Centella asiatica), known locally as Pegaga.

“At Ayus Wellness at Mulu Marriott, we recognize a deep kindredness between our vision and goals and those of The Healing Hotels of the World,” says Robert Geneid, Managing Director of Mulu Marriott. “Being part of a like-minded community reinforces our commitment to cherished values, and creates an opportunity to learn even more from those on the same path. By being a Healing Hotel of the World, Ayus Wellness at Mulu Marriott is immediately understood by the type of guest that wants this high-quality healing and hospitality experience. Membership also allows us to draw on deep expertise from Healing Hotels of the World in shaping the future standards and direction of Ayus Wellness in Mulu and beyond.”

The resort adjoins the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Mulu National Park, one of the few sites in the world which satisfies all four of the criteria for the World Heritage List. One of the most important tenets of Ayus Wellness is its capacity for building employment among the indigenous local community; nearly 200 members of the indigenous community have been trained in roles from hotel management to running the national park.

Mulu Marriot features 101 guest rooms, including nine suites, as well as a ballroom that can accommodate 200 guests; a restaurant offering both air-conditioned indoor dining or al fresco poolside dining and an extensive menu of vegetarian, vegan and non-vegetarian food; a well-equipped gym; a spa facility with four treatment rooms; a yoga studio and bar.

THE TAJ MAHAL PALACE, MUMBAI JOINS HEALING HOTELS OF THE WORLD

July 2019

Historic flagship hotel is an urban oasis celebrating Indian healing traditions

Cologne, Germany & Mumbai, India, July 15, 2019 — The iconic Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai has become the newest member of the Healing Hotels of the World – a global consortium made up of more than 100 hotels and resorts that are committed to healing.

First opened in 1903, The Taj Mahal Palace – the flagship Taj hotel – overlooks the majestic Gateway of India, and has played host to kings, dignitaries and eminent personalities from across the globe. It is acknowledged as a world leader in hospitality, with each of its 285 rooms and suites blending nostalgic elegance, rich history and modern facilities. (...)

The healing traditions at The Taj Mahal Palace run deep; Jiva Spa, a cornerstone of the hotel, is celebrating 14 years of healing, with a philosophy rooted in India’s ancient approach to wellness, which includes an extensive yoga menu and a variety of ancient Indian healing treatments and programs. Guided meditations, yoga, asanas (yogic techniques sourced from classical branches of Hatha, Raja and Kriya Yogas), pranayama (breath work), Shatkriya (cleansing) and meditation techniques, including chanting, silent observation (antar mouna), and horizontal awareness (yoga nidra), are just some of the offerings.

Jiva Spa’s exclusive spa journeys are created to enable guests to explore the dormant potential within, and sow a ‘seed of resolve’ (sankalpa) in the subconscious level of the mind, in order to bring about a positive change. Creative visualizations form an integral part of these therapies, and are delivered in a blissful background with vibrations created by deeply meaningful mantras and chants. One of the more unique spa offerings is a guided meditation while floating in a Dead Sea Mineral Soak.

“The Jiva Spa at The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai is a true urban oasis, with traditions that draw from ancient Indian healing techniques to help guests become more mentally, physically and spiritually aware,” says Anne Biging, co-founder of Healing Hotels of the World. “It’s exactly what we look for in our Urban Collection – a place where guests can reset and reconnect in an otherwise busy environment.”

Healing Hotels guests will receive a personalized consultation with the on-site yoga guru, along with the Spa Director, to create a completely customized wellness itinerary, followed by a ‘Dharana’ – a meditation that focuses on creating mental awareness.

“Inspired by traditional healing wisdom, we believe that a spa unfolds a holistic path that opens channels to nurture one’s life force,” says Reena Sheth, Director of Jiva Spa. “The ethos of our carefully selected treatments is drawn from the rich and ancient wellness heritage of India, the fabled lifestyle and culture of Indian royalty, and the healing therapies that embrace Indian spirituality. This partnership with Healing Hotels of the World will help us to have a global presence, and to create awareness around the rich heritage of the hotel and the spa, which has created therapies that offer profound healing at all levels.”

The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai is part of the Healing Hotels of the World’s Urban Collection – hotels that offer an escape from the chaos and fast-pace of city life, helping guests to find inner peace and reconnection.

HEALING SUMMIT 2019 - TAKE A QUANTUM LEAP

May 2019

Cologne, Germany, May 29, 2019–HEALING SUMMIT 2019, an intimate international conference produced by the boutique hospitality brand Healing Hotels of the World, which took place in the Algarve region of Portugal, has concluded. This year’s theme, “Take a Quantum Leap”, truly resonated with all who attended. Turning the typical business model of a conference on its ear, a quantum leap was achieved by the energized atmosphere created by the participants. (...)

Socially conscious speakers from the fields of investment, science, healing modalities, mission-oriented organizations and travel joined with participants to create an extremely collaborative and congenial environment.

Healing Hotels of the World’s annual HEALING SUMMIT has forged a path and created a totally integrative experience, melding the opportunity for personal development with shared expert information.

The ability to bond and connect deeply with speakers and participants alike was initiated by early morning ocean plunges, yoga practiced under towering pine trees, calming guided meditation, and healthful fresh juice breaks featuring inventive vegan snacks.

Believing that the only way to improve our world and create a more enriched and joyful society is to begin with an inner change, the HEALING SUMMIT presented topics addressing how to make a quantum leap in commerce, health and wellbeing, travel and in ourselves.

HEALING SUMMIT 2019 took place in Albufeira, Portugal at Pine Cliffs Resort, a Healing Hotel of the World member. Featured speakers included Sarah Collins, creator of “Wonderbag” a product that provides a much needed cooking methodology for millions of women in developing countries, Heidi Kuhn, founder of the not-for-profit, Roots of Peace, an organization dedicated to eradicating landmines around the world, Adam Rockefeller Growald, of the Rockefeller Family Fund, who seeks investments in socially conscious projects and Arta Dobroshi, an actress from Kosova who lived in a devastated war town country through a terrifying time, yet was taught by her parents to live a life of joy.

Anne Biging, CEO of Healing Hotels of the World and co-founder of the HEALING SUMMIT expressed what truly affected her. “What touched me most was this beautiful bond between all participants. In an almost magical way, we took a quantum leap together – for each of us in a very personal way. For me, it was fascinating to observe that at some point my mind shifted into a beautiful, peaceful, and creative space where we all connected. What a gift!“ Dr. Elisabeth Ixmeier, CCO of Healing Hotels of the World, and co-founder of HEALING SUMMIT was astonished by the experience. “I do not know how it happened, but someone called the HEALING SUMMIT 2019 a ‘special moment in time.’ The mixture of high quality speakers providing heart opening content, expert healers creating personal experiences, physical activities fostering community, and the abundant beauty of the environment, converged into creating uplifting magic.”

The gathering at the HEALING SUMMIT epitomized what it means to take a quantum leap by fully integrating all aspects of ourselves and building a strong community of individuals, transformed by the HEALING SUMMIT experience.

Plans are already underway for HEALING SUMMIT 2020. The date and location will be announced shortly.

HEALING SUMMIT 2018 PROVIDED DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF HEALING

March 2018

The HEALING SUMMIT 2018 featured delegates from nearly 30 countries, international speakers across numerous industries, and talks that created opportunities for thought, discussion, sharing and understanding. The theme of this year’s summit was ‘Revealing the Secret of Healing’. (...)

Highlights included keynotes from Dr. Ken Redcross, a concierge physician focused on creating meaningful connections with patients, neuroscientist and author Dr. Marjorie Woollacott, PhD, speaking about how meditation can be a powerful tool in health and wellbeing, and hotelier Julia Zhang from the Grand Bay Hotel in Beijing, providing insight into the growing Chinese hospitality marketplace.

Healing Hotels of the World and HEALING SUMMIT founders Anne Biging and Elisabeth Ixmeier made many appearances throughout the HEALING SUMMIT, not only as speakers, but also as moderators in conversation with various presenters.
They were moved by the outpouring of interest and willingness of speakers and delegates alike to participate enthusiastically and share their thoughts and feelings about the need for and depth of healing.

Anne Biging commented, “on a very practical level, healing is about changing our hearts, changing our minds and our habits. It is about consciously moving away from me-me to one another. It is about feeling and acting responsibly for our own wellbeing and that of others. It is about union, and not division.” Elisabeth Ixmeier suggested, “as a counterbalance to the accelerating digitalization of the world, we need to feel our body, we need emotion, creativity, balance, connection, heart and values as well as earth, nature, silence. This is what the Healing Hotels of the World, the HEALING SUMMIT and the Healing Movement stand for.”

Destination Spa Management co-founders Joy Menzies and Samantha Forster revealed formalized healing criteria, furnishing important empirical information to be used as guidelines by Healing Hotels.

Group meditation led by Velleda Dobrowolny, and gentle yoga provided by Patricia Thielemann, were practiced by the entire audience, creating an environment of open hearts and peaceful moments throughout the two-day conference.

New to the HEALING SUMMIT this year was the HEALING SUMMIT Marketplace. This evening event offered hoteliers from around the world an opportunity to meet with media representatives from various media properties as well as travel experts like Stacy Fischer, proprietor of the luxury travel and lifestyle brand, Fischer Travel.

Plans to move forward with content surrounding the HEALING SUMMIT will continue throughout the year.

Thumbnail THAT was the HEALING SUMMIT 2017

THAT WAS THE HEALING SUMMIT 2017

March 2017

Cologne, March 2017 – The fourth annual HEALING SUMMIT 2017, organized by Healing Hotels of the World, brought 115 delegates from 23 countries for a two-day conference at Rocco Forte Hotel de Rome in Berlin together. Hospitality and wellbeing professionals, holistic practitioners, social enterprise as well as sustainability specialists gathered on the 6th and 7th of March to Build a Global Healing Business Community. (...)

This year’s theme followed a universal call, a business necessity of the near future: Building a Global Healing Business Community. The HEALING SUMMIT set out to foster this global community for all the obvious reasons that come with it: being stronger as a community, a louder voice, a wider network and a more powerful impact. The aim was to provide ideas and inspiration for personal as well as economic growth and to contribute to the development of a soulful economy that aims for profit out of a higher purpose, namely the benefit of all.

“Today, a business’s sustainability rating really does impact on sales as more consumers reward good. This trend will completely change the way that the business world works”, predicted Asa Siegel, founder of STAMBA Superfoods, when talking about “Increased Brand Awareness and Profitability through Doing Good”. Living proof of what still seems to be naive or utopian to many of today’s power brokers was Rupert Schmid, Chairman of Biologique Recherche. His company does not differentiate between personal and business values: “Humility is usually not something typically that characterizes a manager. But this is how we want to lead our company.” He therefore looks at money “as a tool to achieve something”, and hence invests a majority for the benefit of all.

We don’t look at business solely as an economic matter, but believe that doing good results out of feeling good, of being at peace with oneself. That’s why we aim for a Global HEALING Business Community. And healing starts with the individual. Dr Marjorie Woollacott, Emerita Professor of Neuroscience at the University of Oregon, supported this statement scientifically. Her research proofs the direct positive impact of meditation on life, health and leadership. “Our own lab has found that meditation improves our attention and ability to focus – it also reduces stress and improves our emotional wellbeing”, Dr Woollacott said. “We are able to look and reflect about situations rather than only react to them. Meditating on a regular basis leaves you more empathetic, more caring and with the strong disposition to alleviate suffering and the wish of others to be happy.”

The HEALING SUMMIT also gave a status quo in regards to tourism and the customers’ current needs. Stella Photi, founder and managing director of Wellbeing Escapes shared that “in 2007 our clients wanted to book packages that would help them ‘look more beautiful’ or ‘be thinner’. This language has completely changed. They are looking for transformational packages – ways to become ‘a better me’. They say ‘teach me’, ‘help me’. People now want to go to nurturing environments where they can take care of themselves in a meaningful, holistic way”.

We offered content strictly dealing with business issues in all its various forms. And to balance this out we successfully offered content like meditation, yoga and even dancing to push some triggers in regards to personal development. We combined two worlds, leaving the delegates with the freedom to take home whatever suited them best at this moment.

HEALING HOTELS OF THE WORLD - THE WORLD'S MOST UNIQUE HOTEL BRAND

February 2017

As the only hotel brand for holistic health worldwide, Healing Hotels of the World has more than 100 member hotels located in 46 countries. Each location is unique in terms of focus and area of expertise. What they have in common is the highest standard of quality, a healing vision, and a passionate holistic approach towards everything they do. Healing Hotels are change agents for an enriched life experience. (...)

During their first visit to one of the founding member hotels – Ananda in the Himalayas – the creators of Healing Hotels experienced in a very short time, a transformation to a new level of wellbeing and happiness. They decided that these were the places they wanted to promote to the world and founded the brand Healing Hotels of the World.

The feeling of ultimate wellbeing is a state of happiness and contentment that cannot be achieved solely by outer stimuli. It is a state of being healthy in body, mind and soul. HEALING SUMMIT - BUILDING A GLOBAL HEALING BUSINESS COMMUNITY

February 2017

Cologne, February 2017 – The fourth annual HEALING SUMMIT 2017, inspired and organized by Healing Hotels of the World*, takes place on March 6/7, 2017 in Berlin. The HEALING SUMMIT is all about bringing together like-minded people who are seeking a healing lifestyle in all areas of their life, both personal and professional, and who want to contribute to the wellbeing of others. (...)

What does it take to live a life filled with purpose, contentment, joy and prosperity? How would it feel, if, by our actions, this dream became a reality for all? What would this new reality look like for you personally and professionally? How can you be actively involved in this evolutionary shift? These questions and many more will be explored at the HEALING SUMMIT 2017.

Topics include “Healing and Business”, and in this context, how a holistic lifestyle influences the economy. The “Global Healing Economy” and “Business for Benefit versus Business for Profit” will be part of the discussion with delegates from six continents presenting their vision for a united, peaceful world. Finally, it will be examined how the ancient wisdom of indigenous peoples can influence both our personal and professional lives.

This year you can expect transformative talks from global business executives, scientists, integrative medical professionals, healers, psychologists and thought leaders.

THE HEALING SUMMIT - COMMITTED TO HEALING - CREATING A NEW WORLD

Cologne, April 2016

CREATING A NEW WORLD
The HEALING SUMMIT – COMMITTED TO HEALING, organized by Healing Hotels of the World, and now in its 3rd year, is a conference that presents all aspects of a holistic lifestyle. (...)

The title of this year’s conference was “Creating from the Core of Goodness: Life, Business, World”.

There is a world-wide movement, a waking up, based on the understanding that we are responsible for our personal wellbeing, our destiny and how we treat our fellow human beings and the world. It is a shift of values from exploitation of ourselves, others and our environment towards a more sensitive and healing understanding of who we are and what we do. It acknowledges that at the core of our being we want goodness in our lives.

The HEALING SUMMIT addressed the different topics of the new worldview.

On an economic level it revolved around the question how we can redefine business success to create a soulful economy that diminishes the inequality of our world. It showed the interconnectedness of our own healing lifestyle with the business practices of the future. Business leaders gave examples of how they created a business based on these new paradigms.

A holistic lifestyle implies the awareness of the relation between body, mind and soul. The HEALING SUMMIT provided space for the ancient wisdom of different cultures that do not only have a deep understanding of this relation but also of our bond with nature and the spiritual realm.

At the HEALING SUMMIT a cosmopolitan audience, including delegates from Saudi Arabia, China and Russia, explored our global identity and what mankind has in common albeit all differences.

“You must be the change you want to see in the world.” (Gandhi). At the HEALING SUMMIT leading personal development experts showed ways how to realize that. This made the HEALING SUMMIT a unique conference that did not only provide knowledge in regards to what to do but also about how to be the best version of you.

The speakers as well as the delegates of the HEALING SUMMIT 2016 came from 27 countries, encompassing business leaders from different industries, who understand that the world is rapidly changing into a new direction.

The aim of the HEALING SUMMIT is not only to share knowledge but also to allow like-minded people to find an atmosphere of mutual support and the encouragement to take a necessary step into the future.

In years to come the HEALING SUMMIT will branch out to different other continents and cities such as Shanghai and New York.

THE WORLD’S MOST UNIQUE HOTEL BRAND CELEBRATES ITS 10TH ANNIVERSARY

Cologne, May 2016

When Anne Biging and Dr. Elisabeth Ixmeier experienced that spending even a short time in a hotel or resort that offers holistic healing can create a transformative experience, they made it their mission to make these properties known to the world. This is why the unique hospitality brand Healing Hotels of the World was founded 10 years ago. (...)

The feeling of holistic well-being is a state of happiness and contentment that cannot be achieved by any outer stimulus. It is a state of health of body, mind and soul. To achieve this state, a complex interplay of different components is necessary including nutrition, holistic therapies, a healing environment and atmosphere.

This is why Healing Hotels of the World developed a detailed set of criteria to secure only the leading global health resorts. Each vetted hotel or resort become members by invitation only, and are evaluated individually by Healing Hotels of the World. As a qualified member of Healing Hotels of the World, each hotel or resort guarantees the most supreme experience for each guest.

There are 110 member hotels located in 46 countries and each one is unique in terms of focus and offered specialties. However, what they have in common is the highest standard of quality, the healing vision, and a passionate holistic approach applied toward everything they do.

The hotel collection offers tremendous variety based on the location of each region, ranging from mountains to beaches to tropical environments. Guests are able to experience the ancient wisdom of India, the healing effects of the Australian and African bush, as well as medical checks, yoga, meditation, quiet walks through the nature, and much more.

The holistic health and wellness travel market is growing rapidly. It is projected to increase by more than 9% per year through 2017, nearly 50% faster than the global tourism overall. It is a sought after market as wellness tourists are high-yield customers, spending 65% more per trip than the average guest. In the future, the markets will shift from Central Europe and the United States to Asia, especially China, India, and Latin America.*

The brand is also at the forefront of supporting the global paradigm shift towards a soulful economy through organizing the HEALING SUMMIT – COMMITTED TO HEALING. The HEALING SUMMIT is an annual event which provides space for individuals and businesses to meet, debate, discuss and learn from the expertise of extraordinary speakers from all over the world. Topics include insights into a professional and personal healing lifestyle, sustainable practices and inspiring charity or not-for-profit projects. Furthermore, with an office in China and hotels and resorts on five continents, Healing Hotels of the World represents the global movement towards a healthier and happier lifestyle.
